Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website only. Protected health information created in the course of treatment is governed separately by the Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive before your first session.

What this site collects

If you use the contact form, I receive the name, email address, phone number, and message you submit. That information is used to respond to you and to schedule care. It is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing, ever.

The site uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages people find useful. This records aggregate information such as page views, approximate region, and referring site. It does not identify you personally, and it is not tied to any clinical record.

What this site does not collect

No advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party ad networks
No sale or sharing of any information with data brokers
Nothing entered into the Safety Plan generator — that stays in your browser and is never transmitted

Email and the contact form

Standard email and web forms are not secure channels for health information. Please keep clinical detail out of them; we will move to a secure channel once we connect. A message sent through this site does not establish a therapeutic relationship.

Retention

Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and, where care begins, to meet the record-keeping requirements that apply to licensed counselors in Colorado. Analytics data is aggregate and retained on a rolling basis.

Your choices

You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where no legal or clinical retention requirement applies. Write to kelly@coolbirdcounseling.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. Adolescent clients are seen with the consents Colorado law requires.

Changes

Material changes will be posted here with a revised date.
